My name is Caitlin Lloyd, and life before treatment was unbearable. It was really hard to go a day without having multiple symptoms. It was hard to go into places like Target and Walmart, it didn't work for me without getting dizzy and feeling like I was going to pass out. I had to leave college halfway through my first semester of freshman year because I couldn't retain any information, and for me, that was just, that was the time that I need to realize that I needed to do something different
because I have had seven concussions by that point. And so, that's how we came across Cognitive FX and I was a little skeptical at first, I'm not going to lie. I was like, "How is one week going to, you know, change my life?" But when I got here, I saw how amazing everyone truly was and the treatments that you go through, they're exhausting but compared to the last five years, it was nothing I couldn't handle.
It was amazing to see not only myself changing but the people alongside me who were in the treatment as well changed too. And you know, after the first day, I even felt a tremendous difference and I felt really accomplished after, you know, I would finish my cognitive therapy without getting a really bad headache or I was able to run on a treadmill for 20 minutes without getting dizzy. So yeah now, my life now is, after treatment, is just night and day. It's amazing. I started out with like one of the worst scores that I could ever fathom and now I'm back down to normal.
So, it's amazing and I just feel like a whole new world has opened up to me, thanks to Cognitive FX. My biggest thing I'm looking forward to is going back to college in the fall to pursue nursing as my career. Also, just the smaller things, to be able to go to Walmart without, you know, having to have someone with me or feeling like I was going to pass out, or even just being able to go to the mountains to see my brother. I haven't been able to do that in a while because the altitude change would make me so sick.
So I'm really excited just to be able to live life back normal, as normal as I can live it. I just want to thank my family and my, you know, everyone who's prayed for me. I don't think I could have done it without all the amazing support from back home and here too. Everyone was just, you know, amazing. Everyone came in with a smile on their face and even though it's really hard, you know, I'm sad to leave.
