Minimum – Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant*, current certification and license in the state of Utah.

Job description:

Cognitive FX specializes in treating individuals with post-concussion symptoms and/or brain injury. We utilize an fMRI that shows therapists areas of the brain to focus on in treatment. Our patients on average improve by 75% in one week. They stay for 1-2 weeks and receive 8 hours of therapy a day. Our patients report that it is our culture/environment, our approach, and our techniques that make the difference in their treatment. Requirements

We are looking for a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant who is licensed or eligible for a license in Utah. Manual therapy / soft tissue experience preferred. Fitness training experience helpful. Vestibular training is helpful but not required. Must be willing to learn new things and adapt to our treatment style that is different than most!

Responsibilities

We are a multi-disciplinary clinic, and you will be working with every member of the team to create a well-rounded and comprehensive treatment for each patient. Daily communication with many different therapists is necessary for the clinic to run smoothly. You will work one on one with patients in 30 minute-1-hour sessions as you help them through their recovery from a traumatic brain injury. Each appointment consists of soft tissue work, exercise protocols, balance work, vision/vestibular therapy and coordinated movement training depending on what each patient needs. Be prepared to learn a lot about concussions and the new and developing treatment protocols that we are pioneering. Some therapists have an opportunity to become Z-Health trained.

*To work as a physical therapist assistant, you must have graduated from a  Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education-accredited physical therapist assistant education program.
