NeuroMuscular Therapist
Alyssa graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Exercise Science. During her time in the Athletic Training program at UGA Alyssa worked with the University’s Volleyball, Baseball, Soccer and Football teams where she learned to assess, treat and rehabilitate athletic injuries.
Following graduation, Alyssa spent the next five years gaining experience in sports medicine while working with athletes at a physical therapy clinic and high school in north Georgia. Wanting to expand her knowledge in the understanding and treatment of head injuries, Alyssa moved to Utah to work at Cognitive FX.
At CFX Alyssa works as a Neuromuscular therapist where she uses her knowledge and skills from sports medicine in conjunction with many other therapists to help people recover from head injuries. The holistic approach to the treatment of PCS and watching the quality of life of her patients improve are why Alyssa got into medicine in the first place.
