What an independent study found

Researchers at Amsterdam UMC and University Medical Center Groningen followed 64 patients through Cognitive FX treatment measuring them before, one month after, and six months after treatment. Cognitive FX did not run this study or fund it or collect any of the data..

Everyone was at least a year past their injury, which makes natural healing a less likely explanation.  These were generally on the higher end of symptom loads compared to our average patient.

Our own research: what happened when patients tried standard treatment first

Fifteen patients in this study put off Cognitive FX treatment and continued with conventional care medication, vestibular therapy, cognitive rehab, talk therapy, physiotherapy. Their brain function was scanned before and after. Then they came in for treatment at Cognitive FX.

The comparison was stacked against the clinic: patients spent roughly nine months in standard care and five days in treatment. If time alone healed persistent concussion symptoms, the long stretch would have had every advantage.

Therapy afterward helped moreIn this retrospective study, patients who did conventional therapy after Cognitive FX treatment improved more than those who did it before.  Some patients will need continue care for specific symptoms.

Cost, insurance & honest answers

How much does treatment cost?
EPIC Treatment, our one-week intensive program, is $13,000 that covers 35+ hours of therapy across five days, before-and-after brain scans, and your take-home program. A two-week extended version is $24,700, and we only recommend it when your evaluation calls for it. The POTS program is $4,500 and fMRI-guided TMS starts at $3,000. What's the least expensive way to get started?
A brain scan on its own is $1,500, and the entire amount credits toward treatment if you go ahead within six months. So you can get real answers about what's happening in your brain first, and if you decide to treat. Some patients take their scan and treatment plan home to their own local care team instead that package is $2,000.
Will my insurance cover it?
We don't bill insurance directly; Some patients with PPO out-of-network benefits get part of the cost back average patients are reimbursed $8,200 of their $13,000 treatment but amounts vary a lot by plan and nothing is guaranteed. Before you book, ask your insurer specifically about out-of-network outpatient rehabilitation benefits and whether they accept superbills.
What if treatment doesn't work for me?
That's exactly why we screen first: we only accept patients we believe we can help. If your scan shows findings outside what we treat, we'll tell you honestly and point you toward more appropriate care. In an independent study of 64 patients who had been living with symptoms for nearly five years on average 77% had a meaningful drop in symptoms, and those improvements still held six months later. It was an observational study without a control group, so it shows change rather than proving cause. Will I be able to do treatment with my symptoms?
Treatment is designed for people who are still symptomatic the schedule alternates therapy with rest and recovery periods, and your team adjusts intensity to what you can handle.
