Brittany Prijatel is an EPIC Coach here at Cognitive FX.

Brittany received her undergraduate degree in the psychology and marketing from the University of Cincinnati and her master’s degree in Sports Psychology from the University of Utah. As an EPIC Coach, Brittany helps individuals improve their mindset and give them mental tools and techniques that they can use during EPIC Treatment. She also follows up with patients directly after treatment to help them prepare for the transition back into daily life by establishing routines, setting goals, and more. Brittany brings an additional way to support our patients as they go through their week of treatment.

What led you to Cognitive FX?

“I came to know about Cognitive FX through a friend that came into the clinic. After being at the clinic, and learning from a patient perspective, I recognized the potential of adding another component that could strengthen the program and tie it all together. With my background and field of study being in Sports Psychology and a focus on injury and injury rehabilitation, I think it was a perfect fit to the goals and mission of Cognitive FX.”

What is your core focus of what you do here at Cognitive FX?

“The core focus of EPIC Coaching is to give patients tools, techniques, and mental skills that can enhance their progress at the clinic, as well as improve the overall quality of life in dealing with their symptoms. Patients can take what they learn and incorporate it throughout the week to augment their individualized treatment protocol. Additionally, EPIC Coaching offers the opportunity to provide feedback to patients as they work to make the transition back to their daily routine more effective.”

What do you feel makes what we do here so valuable?

“I feel that what I do here with EPIC Coaching is just another piece to the puzzle. It is truly about creating a holistic program. A program that gives patients multiple aspects in concussion rehabilitation. It is not just the balance, or the visual processing, or one single element. It takes each component building on each other and with another to best help our patients. I truly love that approach at our clinic. I will say that helping our patients to have a positive mental approach to treatment at Cognitive FX adds a unique dimension because it helps patients cultivate a mindset that can facilitate growth and improvement.”
